Girodin-Sauer S.A.S. is a company incorporated under French law, founded in 1948 and based in Cormeilles-en-Parisis in the Paris region.
The company was founded in 1948 under the name Girodin by the aeronautical engineer Marius Girodin. He had invented the innovative barrel engine, the technology of which was later used for air compressors for naval ships and submarines.

With its own design office, production unit, sales team and customer service department, Girodin-Sauer is able to design, manufacture and service complete air or gas compression and treatment systems.
Since 1989 Girodin-Sauer has been part of a German family group Sauer Compressors (J.P. Sauer & Sohn Maschinenbau) with 15 international subsidiaries. The group was founded more than 140 years ago and has more than 85 years of experience in compressor technology.
The company focuses on the development, production and sales of medium and high-pressure compressors for the industrial, offshore sector, commercial shipping and naval markets.
Girodin-Sauer offers over four product lines of piston compressors that can be integrated into its solutions. Its own product line GIRODIN and the three other lines of the Sauer Compressors Group, SAUER, HAUG and EK, which allow it to offer ideal solutions for all target markets. These complete product range offers compression solutions from 20 to 500 bar and power ratings up to 250kW.
By complementing the compressor range with high quality accessories, engineering services, commissioning, maintenance and training, Girodin-Sauer offers complete turnkey solutions.
