Built to last, and last, and last
Sauer Compressors has its origins in a brass foundry established by Wilhelm Poppe in Kiel, Germany, in 1884. The first compressors were produced there as long ago as 1930. Then in 1968, our current company was created from the merger of Poppe and two acquisitions. In commemoration of the founder Wilhelm Poppe, all compressor types from the latest Sauer product line still have the prefix "WP" in their type designation. Many of these old but extremely sound Poppe compressors are still in service in a variety of applications ranging from small workshop compressors to high-pressure ones for special applications. If you need support, spare parts or an adequate replacement for your ‘vintage’ compressor, please get in touch with us. We will be delighted to be of assistance.
