Properties of C4-FN (Novec 4710) and C5-FK (Novec 5110)

Fluorinated nitrile gas with a lower global warming potential (GWP) is a sustainable alternative to sulfur hexafluoride (SF₆). It can achieve a potential reduction in greenhouse gas emissions of 99% when used in gas mixtures instead of SF₆ in grid-connected commercial installations. It is a non-flammable gas with high dielectric strength.

Applications of C4-FN (Novec 4710) and C5-FK (Novec 5110)

Mixed with other gases, the insulating gases C4-FN (Novec 4710) and C5-FK (Novec 5110) are a sustainable alternative to sulfur hexafluoride (SF₆) for insulating electrical equipment and for arc suppression applications. They offer excellent dielectric properties and a wide range of operating temperatures.
