SF6 gas is a halogen compound that has a very harmful effect on the environment as a greenhouse gas. It can remain stable in the atmosphere for 3,200 years. The greenhouse effect of SF6 is 23,900 times greater than that of the same amount of CO2.

The intake pressure for this application is in the range of 1-9 bara and the final pressure is a maximum of 51 bara. The required volume flow is in the range of 1 to 50 Nm3/h.
Gas tightness and processes with gas-tight and oil-free SF6 compressors are an absolute must in connection with SF6 gas recovery.
The recovery systems are used irregularly during the maintenance of high-voltage switches. If the recovery systems are used in production, they are designed for continuous operation.
