Sauer Compressors Group

Reliable and safe – since 1956

One of our first industrial compressors was used to extinguish electrical arcs in electricity substations. That was way back in 1956. Ever since, we have invested the experience and expertise gained over the years to build better compressors for power distribution applications. Today, our compressors are now renowned for their safe and reliable operation under extreme conditions. Besides conventional substation applications, we are also one of the leading suppliers to the renewable energy sector, e.g. with gas-tight compressors for distributing bio-methane to generate electricity. Whatever the compressor, we are proud of the fact that catering for customers’ very specific requests is one of our strengths.

How you benefit:

  • State-of-the-art compressors, control systems, compressed-air treatment systems and accessories
  • Optimum service and support from the initial enquiry through the compressor’s entire service life
  • 100% compressor check at final pressure, including 3.1 Inspection Certificate

Air and gas distribution

Energy supply companies, gas station manufacturers, gas treatment companies and engineering offices all rely on Sauer compressors to distribute compressed air, natural gas and bio-methane. Customer-specific solutions with gas-tight compressors, turnkey systems and container stations ensure individual requirements are always met. Our compressors are used for starting air, desulphurisation, feeding natural gas, bio-methane or air into the relevant grid, or recovering gas lost due to leakage.

Electricity substations

As a vital part of a country’s supply network, electricity substations are used to change voltage levels, with the optimum voltage selected in line with the level of power to be transmitted and the distance the electricity must travel. Transformer stations then lower the voltage level to that required by end-users. In substations Sauer compressors are used for extinguishing electrical arcs and actuating open power switches. Our customers include energy supply companies, major industrial companies with their own substations, local substation operators and engineering offices.
